Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Creative Photography – The Best Ideas and Inspiration

Are you interested in creative photography ideas? In every field of photography, there are multiple ways to create stunning pictures. The following ones may serve as an inspiration for your own unique picture compositions. Well, maybe for some of the photographers, it is all about keeping consistency in their work that makes their images outstanding. For some photographers, consistency might be the thing that slows down their inspiration and ability to create their work. Hence, they are trying new ways and ideas to create unique photos.

Step Out of the Comfort Zone

A lot of photographers step out of their comfort zone. That means they keep their consistency in their work while capturing the shots they have been booked for. Но they also try to extend their ways of shooting a wedding, couple shoots, portraits, or family sessions by adding some additional creativity to their portfolio. It is truly a win/win situation. On the one hand, the photographer gains new inspiration from capturing creative shots and evolves his skillset. On the other hand, the clients get the shots they are expecting, and additional to this, they’ll receive some creative work that will simply blow their minds away because they didn’t expect that “something like this is possible”.

Top Creative Photography Ideas

1. Play With Shapes

A very simple yet interesting example of cool photo ideas is to combine two totally different objects which have a shared feature. It may be the shape, color or anything else.

2. Spiral Light Photography

One of the variations of light painting photography is spiral light photography. To bring such unique photography ideas to life, you need to shoot at night and involve a torch. Stand in front of the camera and start spinning around while holding a beaming torch. Try using light-sticks or gels of various colors for the torches.

3. High-Speed Photography

For many shooters, high-speed photography is a rather challenging type. To realize these creative photography ideas, shoot with a camera capable of working at fast shutter speed. This way, you will “freeze” an actively moving object, even a plane or a train.

4. Light Trail Photography

With light trail photography, you can highlight an eye-catching item or composition. To make such ideas for photographs work, you need a moving lighting source. The key to successful light trail images is to use a long exposure. Combine a picturesque place with the movements of lights and you are bound to get breathtaking images. Use a tripod to take perfect quality photos.

5. Light Graffiti

For this kind of creative photography, bring a torch, a tripod, set a slow shutter speed and be patient. The scene here matters a lot, so it should be attention-grabbing. Then locate yourself in front of the camera (it is better to have someone to help you) to paint away.

6. Long Exposure Daytime

If you are looking for dramatic and, at the same time, creative picture ideas, pay attention to a long exposure. When you concentrate on the camera’s shutter speed, you may affect any kind of motion in the shot. For instance, you may use it to remove needless objects from the composition, like by-passers. Moreover, it puts emphasis on the energy of moving objects, with water transforming into glass and clouds into streaks.

7. Water Splash

For this idea, you will need a remote-controlled flash, a water tank, a black background and a tripod. Install a water tank and a black background, then place a flash above the tank. With f/8 aperture and ISO 200, set the fastest shutter speed possible. So, throw the subject into the water and press the shutter button as soon as it touches the surface of the water.

8. Macro Photography

Macro photography is often neglected by many shooters. If you have an extension tube or a macro lens, you have an opportunity to take cool close-up pictures. We don’t inspect the items very closely in everyday life, that’s why such shots will look very out-of-the-ordinary.

9. Crystal Ball Photography

You can come up with plenty of creative photography ideas when shooting through a crystal ball. In this way, you direct the way a person perceives the composition. It is presented simultaneously in a normal view and upside down.

How Do You Start Being Creative?

Well, this is a point that every single one of us needs to find out for themselves. Some of the photographers look at the work from others and gain their inspiration there. They see a creative photo and think, “I’ll try that cool sh** at my next shooting!”. Other photographers may just walk around the city or woods. Suddenly, they start being creative because an idea popped up in their minds.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
