Boho and Vintage Wedding Photography: Destination Highlights and Inspiration
The blog is a collection of destination wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration for weddings, elopements, and couples.
Boho Bridal Photography at Gibson Jack in Pocatello Idaho
Gibson Jack boasts stunning areas for day adventures and hiking. Additionally, it’s a perfect location for wedding photography and bridal sessions. I know recommend it to my local clients. One of the best things about this location is that you can walk just a few steps onto the trail and already be perfectly framed for photos. The mountains are covered by lush grasses, sage brush, trees, and dirt trails. Gorgeous yellow blooms cover the hillsides in the spring and summer.
Wow, Kara & Garen are so photogenic and natural together. Their boho bridal session was incredible. One of the things I loved about their shoot was how dapper Garen looked in a bow tie and tux. I always think of groom wearing a tux looks so handsome and classy. Then, Kara looked so phenomenal in the classy boho wedding dresses from Margene’s Bridal. Her first dress had elegant beading, while the second dress had a delicate lace overlay.
Kara’s hair and makeup was done by Trudi Day. Trudi showcased Kara’s luminous green eyes with a natural makeup look and thick eyelashes. The styled bouquet and boutonniere were designed by Historia Florals.
Dreamy Tennessee Boho Wedding Highlights
In another beautiful setting, Caleb and Lauren’s Tennessee Boho wedding was seriously such a dream! We were even more blown away when we arrived at Hiwassee River Weddings for their wedding day! Pompous grass, a Rue de Seine dress, velvet bridesmaids dresses, and just seriously dreamy styling all around!
Modern Boho California Elopement
Up in the hills of Southern California, a warm and romantic setting for an elopement allows a couple to chase after the sunset on their best day ever. I had a dream of putting together this styled shoot with a modern boho vibe for so long. Photographer pro tip: I love utilizing natural elements in my shooting style. As example, filling part of my frame with the soft muted florals that surrounded us. I feel like it gives an element of romance, making the photo feel so much more dreamy and ethereal!
I teamed up with some amazing local vendors and we went with a modern and boho vibe for the shoot. The dress and jewelry that were provided by Nic and Day Bridal gave our bride the perfect combination of both styles of boho and modern. Penelope Pots Floral Design created a beautiful bouquet that was so organic and flowy that the wind couldn’t keep up with it! The vibrant colors of the bouquet were perfect within the whole backdrop of the mountains.
A Bohemian, Vintage Wedding Inspiration in Memphis
I wanted to take a step back in time, into an era before Facebook and hashtags and MTV. I wanted passion and love, and the timelessness that only those two emotions can offer. I wanted to incorporate my southern roots with a vintage feel, and to tie in my connection and love for music and stringed instruments. Emily and Jacob Hatch are perfect for this vision. The passion and love these two have for each other cannot be posed or created, but simply captured. They radiate a love for each other that I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to document.
