Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

A Little Bit About Me

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Couple Coordinated Wedding Outfit Ideas

Coordinated couple wedding outfits are one of the most powerful stories we have seen in recent weddings. When couples say ‘I do’, they prefer to tell a unique story together through their classy and coordinated couple wedding attire. Coordination is not just a trend but an emotion, feeling, and togetherness. It’s romance, harmony, unity, and, of course, planning. Many details go into planning a perfect couple’s wedding outfit.

Why Do The Couple Need Coordinated Outfits

It’s not just wearing the same color or print. It’s about looking fashion-forward and edgy in ‘His and Hers Wedding Outfits’ that coordinate. Gone are the days when brides and grooms used to pick random wedding couture; now, coordinating the outfits is like a ritual. This trend is rooted in a shift towards personalization and having a unique identity as a couple. The lehenga and sherwani are not just two different outfits; they build and blend the aesthetics for couples’ love and ‘happily-ever-after’.

What’s more? Couples can achieve perfect Instagrammable photos. The coordination of colour, rich craftsmanship, and fabric makes for incredible photos where the groom sherwani’s golden buttons can resonate with the gold motifs or zari motifs on the bride’s outfit.

When and How to Start Coordinating

Regarding the process, start with one of the looks, either the bride’s or the groom’s, preferably the bride’s first. Then the groom may start building the look by considering the bridal lehenga’s fabric, details, layers, motifs, embellishments, and colour. A couple’s matching outfits could be both art and a science. The bride and groom can watch for zari details, floral embroidery, sequins, metallic accents, beads, or shimmer, and accordingly start curating. Focus on the details that complement each other’s outfits in the best possible manner.

Colour Trends and Matching

Many brides and grooms think that coordination of colour means wearing the same shade, but this is exactly not the thing. Couples can focus on the tone, the texture, the contrast, and the mix and match. Blush-toned, jewel-hued, and pastel-shaded lehengas and sherwanis are trending for the modern couple outfits for weddings. For instance, if the lehenga is beige or golden, the sherwani can reflect a maroon or beige tone. Similarly, the bride can opt for a red heritage lehenga if the groom has finalized on the golden lehenga.

Synchronization Through Fabrics and Embroidery

You can look beyond colour as a couple and allow embroidery work to play a big role in matching the couples wedding outfits. The same jaali work, aari-embroidery, and mirror-work can speak unity and ‘we belong together’. Brides and grooms can also synchronize the outfits with coloured beads, gota patti, resham, and cut-work. Furthermore, the similar fabric options for the lehenga and sherwani can make them the shining stars of the evening:

  • Silk: Dress as royalty in silk for a classic appeal.
  • Velvet: If the lehenga is crafted in heavy and luxe velvet, the sherwani can also reflect the same energy in velvet fabric.
  • Organza: Look like a couple straight out of a fairytale in organza fabrics.
  • Light Blends: For a beach ceremony, you can opt for a cotton or linen blend, or a georgette and chiffon fabric mix.

The same fabrics can offer a similar finish and appeal to the couple’s coordinated outfits, ensuring the bride and groom tie their look together in peach, ivory, silvery grey, or pinkish ensembles.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
