Authentic and Candid Wedding Photography in Devon and Cornwall
I have been a wedding photographer for 12 years and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Weddings are some of the best days that life has to offer us, and documenting these incredible events is truly an honour. As a published, award-winning candid wedding photographer, my approach is to capture your wedding day as naturally as possible - those candid photos are often the ones that have a story to tell. I don’t want to take your wedding pictures, I want to take pictures of your wedding: the little details, smiles and interactions that make your wedding day what it is.
Our Photography Style and Approach
There are many words for what I do: candid wedding photographer, documentary wedding photographer, reportage wedding photographer, etc. All these titles sum up to one thing: I want you to be able to step into my pictures and feel like you’re right there. I want the unrehearsed smiles and unpracticed poses – the genuine, unabashed, sometimes silly, sometimes messy but always real joy that takes place at a wedding. My style of wedding shooting is unobtrusive. The kind of intimate moments I want to capture mean that I have to blend in as seamlessly as possible – you’ll barely notice I’m there!
Weddings aren’t just about the unplanned moments though, the portraits and group photos are just as important - it’s not every day the whole family is together in one place. So I won’t shy away from offering a little direction or creativity, if and when situation calls for it. As a professional graphic designer, I live and breathe design, and I make it a priority to create images that are as strong in their design as they are genuine to the moment. Locations Served Across the South West
Being based in the South West, most of the weddings I capture are within Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. My work photographing weddings does occasionally take me around the UK too and I’m always excited to explore new places! Cornwall is one of the best places in the UK for adventurous weddings, especially in autumn when the coastline, woodland and moorland all feel dramatic in their own way. Wedding Photography Packages and Pricing
All of my wedding photography packages offer hourly coverage options, starting from three hours coverage up to full day photography coverage. You can include vintage film photography to your wedding, with my optional extra called GO VINTAGE! Regarding additional services, I also offer wedding album design as I am a professional graphic designer.

Booking and Post-Production Process
If you decide you are interested in booking me, and I am free on your wedding date, let me know and I will send you my payment details in order for you to pay your deposit. Paying the deposit will confirm the booking. The rest of your balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding day. Regarding the final delivery, the number varies quite a bit and depends on a wide range of factors, such as how long your day is and lighting, but you should expect to receive between 200 and 800 professionally edited images. However, I wouldn’t get too hung up on numbers – I’d rather quality over quantity.
Post-production is a long, arduous process and a huge amount of work, and most weddings I photograph take me about a month to edit. Once your images are edited, I pop them onto a password-protected online album, and I will be happy to provide prints as well for an extra fee.
