Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

A Little Bit About Me

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

How much does a wedding photographer cost?

Wedding photographer prices can vary depending on many factors including your wedding’s location (photographers in big cities tend to cost more than in other areas), the type of services and packages you’re looking for, and your chosen photographer’s experience and level of expertise.

In general, wedding photographer prices in the U.S. tend to range between $2,000 and $4,500, with the average wedding photographer cost hovering around $3,250. Your wedding photographer will likely comprise about 15-20 percent of your overall wedding budget. Closer to home in the Annapolis-Baltimore-Washington DC metro region, good photographers will range between $3,000 and $5,500, more in some cases, with the average being $4,250.

The following table summarizes the average wedding photography costs based on location:

Location Price Range Average Cost
United States (General) $2,000 – $4,500 $3,250
Annapolis-Baltimore-DC Metro $3,000 – $5,500 $4,250

What’s covered in a wedding photographer’s prices?

When researching wedding photographers, be sure to read the information about their pricing and packages carefully—these tend to differ widely from photographer to photographer and can greatly affect wedding photography pricing. A few items and services to look for include:

  • Time: Wedding photographer prices typically include between six hours and an unlimited amount of coverage. The more time you’d like your photographer to cover your event, the more you’ll have to pay. Additional hours will cost extra.
  • Editing: A large part of your photographer’s time will be spent editing and retouching your wedding photos to make sure they look absolutely amazing. My experience is that a typical 8 hour wedding really requires about 35 total hours of effort from your photographer.
  • Images: Your wedding photographer’s cost should include the actual digital images. Digital files can be provided to you in a variety of ways including in an online gallery and/or via a USB drive.
  • Print release: Many wedding photography packages include a “print release,” which means that you can use the photos for your own personal use.
  • Second Shooters/Staffing: Will your photographer have a second shooter or assistants present? If so, expect to shell out more.
  • Travel: You may have to pay a per-mile charge if he or she is driving to your wedding, or you might have to pay for airfare and accommodations for a destination wedding.

Additional Services and Considerations

There are other services that can be added to your package, which may affect the final investment:

  • Albums: Your photographer may offer a wedding album as part of his or her package. At Trans4mation Photography, I provide Albums (both main client albums as well as “parent” albums) as an optional service for an additional cost.
  • Additional shoots: Some photographers include an engagement shoot in their package (over 60 percent of couples do a pre-wedding engagement shoot). Other shoots that will likely cost extra include bridal portraits, trash the dress sessions, or coverage of your rehearsal dinner.
  • Prints: Some photographers may include photo prints or a print credit in their wedding photography rates. While you don’t have to purchase your prints through your photographer, they’ll likely come out better if you do.

Keep in mind that there are other, less obvious parts of a wedding photographer’s business that may be included in their package pricing, which include equipment, employees, business expenses, marketing, liability insurance, and subscription services.

Do I need to tip my wedding photographer?

While tips aren’t included in a photographer’s package, they are certainly something you may want to factor into your wedding photography budget. Consider a $100 to $200 tip as a nice gesture before the photographer leaves the venue.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
