Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

A Little Bit About Me

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Civil Wedding Ceremony at San Francisco City Hall

It is possible to dream of a big wedding in a dreamy destination, surrounded by your favorite people who have traveled from near and far—and to also dream of saying your vows in a private, purposeful way, close to the life you’ve built and the home you share. These dreams are not mutually exclusive, and A + P prove this. When they hired me to photograph their wedding at Duke’s Malibu, they also asked if I would be interested in traveling to their hometown in San Francisco to capture their civil ceremony because it felt right to make their marriage official in their own city and on their own terms.

The Ceremony Experience

On a peaceful Tuesday morning, I met A + P and their parents, who had traveled from SoCal and Michigan to witness their vows, at San Francisco City Hall. In the rotunda at the top of the grand staircase, the justice of the peace read the couple their vows and declared them man and wife. The moment was swift, emotional, and beautiful. Afterwards, we explored San Francisco City Hall together, taking portraits of the couple and their parents.

History and Architecture of the Landmark

San Francisco City Hall is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and has a rich history that adds an extra layer of significance to the couples who choose it as their wedding venue. After the devastating 1906 earthquake and subsequent fires destroyed the earlier City Hall, the construction of the new San Francisco City Hall began in 1913. Inspiration for its design was drawn from classical Beaux-Arts architecture, and its construction symbolized the city’s determination to rebuild, its resilience and enduring spirit.

A Masterpiece of Architectural Beauty

The building itself is a masterpiece of architectural beauty. The grand facade features Corinthian columns, a majestic rotunda, and an elegant grand staircase, all exuding a sense of grandeur, timelessness, and romance. It has been the site of significant political gatherings, including presidential visits, civic ceremonies, and public protests. Notably, it hosted the signing of the United Nations Charter in 1945, an event that marked a pivotal moment in world history. Today, couples from around the world are drawn to its beauty as a sought-after destination for weddings and civil ceremonies.

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
