Benoy & Victoria’s Beautiful and Intimate Outdoor Wedding Ceremony and Civil Elopement Guide
Benoy & Victoria’s beautiful and intimate outdoor wedding ceremony took place after they had to postpone their wedding a few times. Part one of their wedding events, and first up was their civil ceremony. Their wedding had been in my diary ever since I had first met them 18 months ago. Their plans had somewhat changed, and now they were having separate events for their Civil and Hindu Wedding & Reception.
A Beautiful Venue Fitting for the Moment
Langtons House is a beautiful Georgian Grade II listed building overlooking landscaped gardens and an ornamental lake. It was the first time I have photographed at the Langtons House Orangery and what a beautiful structure it is. It’s just about big enough to allow a handful of people in, with an area for the guests in front on the lawn. Benoy and his family were congregating in the grounds of the venue, as I captured candid moments between their guests. Benoy was looking super smart in his Boss suit, while his family were helping him with the finishing touches.
Victoria was in an excited mood when I arrived at her place for getting-ready shots. Make up artist, Divya Seth Suri, was working her magic, while Victoria was chilling listening to Bollywood tunes in the background. Benoy was front and centre as he watched his soon-to-be wife make her way to the Orangery accompanied by her mum. It was a beautiful ceremony on a gloriously sunny afternoon, and both Benoy & Victoria looked amazing. The happiness on their faces were there for all to see as they turned to face their guests as husband and wife. It had been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait for their friends and family.
Intimate Chicago City Hall Elopement
Rhea and Jordan’s city hall wedding day was anything but boring. They opted for a simple city hall ceremony, which allowed them to have a more intimate experience. We headed to a quiet River North rooftop so they could recite their handwritten, heart-tugging vows. In tune with their unconventional way, he saw her dress, but she hadn’t seen his killer green tux!! Amazing. These two may love staying in, but they sure have style—check out those Louboutins!
They waited in line for almost two hours to tie the knot, but that gave us time for some unique photos, and they were the last couple to get married on August 27 th—a lovely grand finale! To end the day, they commemorated the occasion with an unforgettable cocktail hour at Hubbard Inn with their very closest friends and family. Their authentic, emotive photos reflect that their day—their way—was pure magic.
How to Make Your City Hall Elopement Unforgettable
- Book a Getting Ready Suite: No matter how you do it, this is your special day! Even if you opt for a civil ceremony, you can still get ready with your loved ones and spend some time relaxing, catching up, and getting pampered.
- Emphasize the Details: Prioritizing the details that are important to you and getting the photos you want will make your Chicago city hall wedding day even sweeter.
- Do a First Look: A first look will help you carve out some private time and space to savor the moment (and yes, get some emotive photos while you’re at it).
- Take Couple’s & Family Portraits: A city hall wedding doesn’t mean you must skimp on the memories or gorgeous pictures. We spent a chunk of time around Olive Park getting some great intimate couple’s portraits and sweet family photos, too.
- Celebrate After: Every wedding day deserves a toast and some cake! Whether it’s just the two of you or your whole crew, do something special to celebrate your marriage.
