Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

A Little Bit About Me

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

An Intimate and Romantic Wedding at Treseren in Cornwall

Lauren, a Nursery teacher, married Ali, a Trainee Anaesthetist at the very beautiful Treseren, an intimate venue in Cornwall, that we are immensely proud to recommend through our Little Book directory. The couple, who had and kept to a budget of £10k for their wedding, tied the knot on 10th October 2020, in between lockdowns, and as with so many other couples, had to majorly adapt their wedding day plans. We stumbled upon Treseren after searching Google for small, intimate wedding venues. Having lived in Cornwall together it is a place that holds lots of special memories for us and after reading the reviews, looking through their gallery and scrolling through their real weddings journal we fell in love.

Defining the Micro Wedding Experience

Micro weddings are essentially tiny traditional weddings! Normally with no more than 20 guests, they are more relaxed, shorter in length, smaller in size and can be done on a smaller budget too. In essence the day is just like a traditional wedding day, just scaled down to your smaller desired size. Whilst elopements are normally done in secret, with no one but the couple and 2 witnesses at a registry office, and no frills or fancies, micro weddings are meticulously planned, mini wedding days. Intimate weddings have more similarities to micro weddings, but often have double or even triple the amount of guests. This option is a good one if you are struggling to narrow down your guest-list to less than 20 people - it can be tough!

Bridal Style and Personal Touches

I had found the dress on Pinterest and chose the wedding shop as I knew it stocked the dress. What drew me in was the delicate botanical embroidery. I wanted something very natural and boho looking that I felt comfortable and could move freely in. I chose Emma C as she recommended by Treseren and when looking through her gallery she had done lots of natural and free flowing hair styles. On the day she used some of my inspiration pictures but also made it a style just for me, she took the weather into account as she knew we wanted to go to the beach for some pictures and wanted to make sure it held all day. I bought Ali a handkerchief which I had embroidered by Ink & Thimble, in my handwriting a quote from our favourite book ‘the little prince’. This was a surprise and was given to Ali the morning of the wedding.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
