Portland, Maine and Cape Elizabeth Wedding and Elopement Photography
Thanks for visiting! My name is David A. Smith, and I’d love to photograph your intimate micro-wedding + elopement celebration in the beautiful location of Portland, Cape Elizabeth, or anywhere throughout Maine and New England! Giving couples dreamy cinematic-style photography is something I’ve had the pleasure of doing since 2010. I’m also happy to provide couples with photos shot DIGITALLY AND ON FILM!
Professional Experience and Heart-Led Approach
Photographs for the stories you’ll love telling, and a visual legacy to pass down. Based in New England, traveling worldwide. After more than a decade in this line of work and recognized as one of the best photographers in the country by Loverly, I pour care and curiosity into each wedding, intent on finding the untold family traditions and trademarks of your favorite people. I’ll lead with heart, but follow your pace to quietly document your moments and step in to guide when needed. Most importantly, though, I want to make sure you have a wonderful experience on what should be one of the happiest days you’ll ever have.
Why I Love Intimate Micro-Weddings
While I have photographed lots of big weddings over the years, what I really enjoy doing most is photographing small and intimate micro-weddings and elopements. This is because the couple can really focus on what’s important, their love for each other, and spending time with those that are special to them, instead of having to worry about a million things at once. I want to focus on you and your partner while also making sure you have an absolutely wonderful day.
Planning and Coordination Assistance
I take pride in the fact that I can also help coordinate a wedding for my couples. If you need any assistance in planning, vendor selection, travel arrangements, scheduling, or any other situation that might arise, I’m here to assist. Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and New England are such beautiful locations that I don’t want you to worry about anything. I want you to be able to relax and enjoy this incredibly special time. I’m here every step of the way for you and your partner!
Full Day Coverage and Package Details
Ever since I started doing wedding + elopement photography professionally in 2010, I’ve wanted to tell the entire story of my clients. That means I will not impose a time limit on your wedding + elopement day. You give me a start time, and I’m there until all the events of the day and/or reception are covered. Because I’m devoting my attention to the entire day, everything is based on a full day’s coverage, regardless. No matter the size of your celebration, you will receive the following:
- A full day’s coverage (No time limit – you give me a start and stop time) with next day sneak previews.
- All digital photos delivered in high-resolution format with full print rights to a private password protected gallery.
- 4 digital versions of each photo: The out-of-camera version, two edited color versions, and a black and white version.
- Photos shot on at least one roll of film.
- A $100 print and product credit.
- Wedding weekend couples session and/or rehearsal dinner coverage.
- Storybook wedding album.
- Your choice of an engagement, bridal, or boudoir session.
- Coordination assistance.
