Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

A Little Bit About Me

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

The Ultimate Guide to Popular Locations for Photoshoots and Engagement Sessions

The location of your portrait session is totally up to you! Like you will see throughout this post, most of my clients choose to showcase the natural beauty of the environment. For most of my sessions, outdoor, open-air environments are always the first choice! I love shooting in wide-open natural spaces because the light is divine, especially during golden hour. From hip urban locations to tranquil natural settings, each location opens up opportunities for a personalized setting that injects a personal style into the entire photoshoot experience. Whether it’s running through fields or dangling feet off a bridge overlooking the city, it always turns out to be a fun experience.

Top Locations in Mobile, AL

There are great options all around Mobile. This list is made up of the locations that are most frequently requested:

  • Spring Hill College: Spring Hill is by far one of my most requested locations to shoot at! This location features oak trees, azalea bushes, wide-open spaces, white buildings, beautiful archways, and an insanely gorgeous golf course! There are tons of beautiful spots on campus that work well with any lighting situation.
  • Downtown Mobile: I love shooting in Downtown Mobile! It has an abundant amount of beautiful spots to shoot. You can opt for city vibes with the beautiful murals, tons of buildings, water fountains, and some of my favorite colorful walls that make a great background so you are the focal point.
  • Washington Square: This is a park located in the middle of a neighborhood in midtown. It has beautiful trees that I love to shoot in, plus it has a great amount of shade for those days that the sun is just a little too harsh. It features a beautiful water fountain that if we’re lucky the gate may be unlocked to!

Beautiful Locations in Columbus, Ohio

If you’re looking for the best places for your engagement photos in Columbus Ohio, here are some favorites:

  • Jeffrey Mansion (Bexley, Ohio): This grand estate provides the perfect setting to immortalize your new milestone. The property offers majestic views of grand Jeffrey Park, an elegant paved entrance, and top-notch gardens that provide a memorable backdrop for your engagement photos.
  • German Village and Schiller Park: This charming and quaint village offers a romantic setting for your engagement session with its brick houses, walkways, and little shops lining the streets. Schiller Park is the second oldest park in German Village and is overflowing with rich history, providing great backdrops with its gorgeous landscaped gardens and fishing pond.
  • Scioto Mile in Downtown Columbus: If you want to capture the city skyline or a romantic sunset, there’s no better place than Scioto Mile. This urban oasis offers 175 acres of lush parks, bikeways, pedestrian paths, and fountains.

Favorite Locations in St. Louis

For those in Missouri, these locations offer spectacular scenery:

  • Busch Wildlife Conservation: I LOVE the diversity of this location. We have AMAZING tall pine trees like you can’t get anywhere else. There are a million little lakes/ponds surrounded by gorgeous trees and fields of sunflowers in the summer!
  • Forest Park: You can never go wrong in forest park. There's amazing architecture, beautiful nature, and just a hint of the city in the background.
  • Castlewood State Park: If you want that vibe, hit up castlewood in the summer! And when the river is low enough, there's sand! It looks pretty beachy PLUS the beautiful Missouri greens.

Best Locations in Knoxville, Tennessee

Knoxville Tennessee is full of beautiful backdrops which makes it difficult to decide on just one location:

  • Melton Hill Park: Couples who love tall grass, jaw dropping lake views, huge sunset lit 100-acre field, or foggy sunrise hills, you found the perfect location.
  • The Bleak House: The Bleak house is giving me all the Italian villa style vibes right here in Knoxville. There is so much character, history, lush foliage and has a gorgeous overlook of the Tennessee River!
  • Forks of the River: This location is popular because of the sunflowers that bloom here! Forks of the River has a few stunning photo spots and a field with some tiny mountain views.

Location Fees and Considerations

When planning your session, keep in mind that some locations require a fee or have specific features:

  • Bellingrath Gardens: They charge a fee to shoot on their property.
  • Blakely State Park: It costs $8 to get in I believe, but is well worth the small fee!
  • The Bleak House: There is a small fee to book The Bleak House, it’s around $50 and I think it is totally worth it!
  • Fairhope Pier / Downtown Fairhope: This one is a little bit of a drive, but totally worth it! This option features beautiful greenery, walkways, beach access, and a pond with a gorgeous bridge.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
