Originally opened in 1922 as The Providence Biltmore, Graduate Providence is a landmark hotel. Warren and Wetmore, the architects behind New York City’s Grand Central Terminal, used a Beaux-Arts style when constructing the 18-story hotel. The Lobby and Mezzanine
Entering the hotel through the main doors, you’re greeted by The Biltmore’s epic lobby. Believe it or not, this area has a few photogenic spots for portraits. The beautiful staircase to the second floor is probably the highlight. On the second floor, you’ll find The Biltmore mezzanine, which is the default location for cocktail hour. You two and your guests can have a great time here; the space is really quite fancy.
Ballroom Reception and Terrace
The reception space is nothing short of stunning. The wide open ballroom features large windows for ample natural light, an intricately designed ceiling, and ornate, gold details around the room. One of the favorite spaces aside from the ballroom is the outdoor terrace. We took full advantage of those rooftop views during wedding portraits. The Graduate Hotel boasts a killer rooftop bar, giving the perfect spot for those nighttime shots against the twinkling skyline.
Real Wedding Inspirations
Victoria and Christian’s wedding came together with classic and sophisticated designs mixed with the joy and fun of their energetic family and friends. They got ready at The Graduate Hotel in Providence. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the intricate floral displays on the tables to the ornate white feathers that adorned them. As the evening progressed, the sky painted itself in hues of warm orange and pink, creating a stunning sunset that added a touch of romance to the already enchanting atmosphere. Much like most of our 2023 weddings, it has been raining earlier in the day but as luck had it, the sky parted and the sun shined through the clouds.
Nicole and Tim’s elegant wedding at the Graduate Hotel by Hilton Providence was an absolute dream! The soft pink, gold, and champagne color palette brought warmth and romance to every moment. One of the favorite details was the seating chart display which consisted of two gorgeous glass panels set against a black backdrop. The bridal suite was filled with vintage touches and colorful decor, which was perfect for capturing those getting ready moments. Nicole looked breathtaking in her off-shoulder wedding gown paired with a cathedral-length veil, which is always a timeless choice.
