Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Romantic and Enchanting: Night Wedding Ideas for a Magical Wedding Experience

Are you dreaming of a romantic wedding that all your guests will be in awe? From beautiful twinkling lights to the incredible setting sun, the atmosphere created by having a night’s summer wedding is nothing short of magical. Let us help you as you plan for what promises to be one of the most memorable days of your life by exploring some captivating night wedding ideas.

Setting the Scene for an Elegant Evening

Every couple dreams of having a fairytale wedding ceremony, complete with a stunning backdrop that will make their special day unforgettable. Selecting the perfect wedding venue is key to bringing this vision to life. Imagine exchanging your vows in a breathtaking location that sets the tone for an elegant evening filled with love and romance. Select a stunning ceremony venue that offers the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding.

To make your nighttime nuptials come alive, think outside the box and explore creative lighting options that will add an enchanting sparkle to your wedding day. You can incorporate the following elements to enhance the ambiance:

  • Add some ambiance to your bouquets by incorporating battery-operated fairy lights or lanterns.
  • For the dance floor, consider using a custom Gobo projector to illuminate your names or monogram.
  • Elevate your decor with lush greenery, creating a greener, more vibrant atmosphere.
  • Incorporate touches of romance by having lanterns with candles or small string lights around tables and chairs for guests to enjoy.

Unique Menus and Grand Celebrations

A special occasion calls for a special menu, and a wedding is no exception. Design a unique menu specifically tailored to the occasion, such as special drinks and desserts. In designing a menu for the big day, it’s important to consider the wedding colors, centerpieces, fairy lights, and other decor that will be on display. Maybe you opt for signature drinks that match the bride’s bouquet or incorporate flavors that nod to the groom’s favorite dessert.

Opt for a firework display to celebrate your union in the night sky. Imagine walking into a wedding party under the night sky, with the ambiance set to stun as you’re greeted with a breathtaking firework display that lights up the darkness. The firework display will be the icing on the cake, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended your celebration of love.

The Ultimate Guide to Nighttime Wedding Photography

Hire a wedding photographer who can capture your special occasion an entirely new level of enchantment! Night photos at a wedding are quick, simple, and impressive. They can be the last thing that you do on the wedding day. It's a good way to wrap up the day, get the couple away from the crowd, leave them with a great lasting impression. Night shots are incredibly valuable to your clients, and for the time and energy that it takes, you are going to knock their socks off.

To pull this off well, you'll need a little bit of gear. Namely an off-camera flash and a radio trigger. A night shot usually involves setting up off-camera flash, and typically it's backlit, which is often the easiest scenario to execute. It ends the evening on a high note, photographically speaking.

Finding the Perfect Nighttime Location

How do I find a good location for a wedding photo at night? One of the things that I am always looking for are frames that I can backlight. Inspiration can be found in many places:

  • Doorways and tunnels
  • Trees and interesting foliage patterns
  • Ruins or structures
  • The exterior of the building or a peaked roof
  • The middle of a field or even a desolate wasteland

As a quick bonus tip, sometimes I will Google the wedding venue that I'm at, and see if any other photographers have found interesting locations to shoot at during the evening. It's up to you then to creatively choose a lens, lighting, and pose to make your picture better!

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
