Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

The Ultimate Guide to Eloping on Minnesota’s North Shore

North Shore Minnesota is a magical place— the perfect combination of adventure & tranquility. If you’re wondering how to elope on the North Shore in Minnesota, look no further! There are so many gorgeous spots along the North Shore with so many amazing things to do and places to see! It’s such a vast contrast to the buzzing city life I often shoot in. Whether you choose an intimate wedding among your closest friends & family or exchange personal vows to each other with beautiful views as your background, the North Shore offers an intentional and beautiful setting.

Top Locations for a North Shore Elopement

Here are a few of my absolute favorite places to elope on the North Shore:

  • Palisade Head
  • Black Sand Beach
  • Crystal Bay Point
  • Silver Bay Beach
  • Tettegouche State Park
  • Gooseberry Falls
  • Temperance River State Park
  • Grand Marais
  • Duluth

Best Time to Elope on The North Shore in Minnesota

I highly recommend eloping either in the Summer or Fall (June-October). Summer temperatures on the North Shore are extremely comfortable, while fall on the North Shore is probably THE most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen!

Season Months Temperature Range Highlights
Summer June - August Mid 60s to Mid 70s The flowers bloom and are absolutely stunning.
Fall September - October Mid 40s to Mid 50s The colors of the leaves are insane!
Spring/Winter March - April Freezing to cool Snowy elopements where temperatures aren’t as cold anymore.

Legal Requirements for Getting Married in Minnesota

Here’s everything you’ll need to know to get legally married on Minnesota’s North Shore:

  1. Marriage License – To get married in Minnesota, you will need to apply for a marriage license. You can fill out an online application for St. Louis County Minnesota. Your license is good for 6 months from the date it is issued.
  2. Fees – The fee for a marriage license in Minnesota is $115, unless you take 12 hours of premarital education classes. If you take the classes, a marriage license is only $40.
  3. Officiant – In Minnesota, you need to be married by someone who is authorized to perform marriage ceremonies, which includes judges and ordained ministers of any faith.
  4. Witnesses – You’ll need to have 2 witnesses present to sign the marriage license. Your elopement photographer can help you find two people nearby who can serve as your witnesses!
  5. Permits – Depending on where you’re eloping, you might need a special permit to have a wedding ceremony there. Some state parks and national parks require ceremony or photo permits.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
