Cornwall Photography Workshop and Coastal Adventure
Join Francesco Gola and Alessio Andreani in this new adventure and capture the essence of Cornwall in the UK. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking coast views and the enchanting countryside while developing your photographic skills. Our adventure is intricately crafted to lead you to the most spectacular scenic spots while also enhancing your photography skills by cultivating a mindful approach towards image composition.
Enhancing Your Photographic Skills
Our purpose is to expand your sense of awareness and foster creativity so that when you leave, you don’t just have stunning pictures to treasure but also a wealth of valuable techniques and knowledge to fuel your passion for photography. Take your photography to a higher level! The small group size will allow you to discuss during your shooting with the teachers at every moment to maximize the learning experience. Between sunrise and sunset, theory, post-production and relax in great company!
Every day we’ll define the best shooting location according to the weather, and you’ll be an active part of this planning process to let you develop your photographic skills and location management, an essential skill for a landscape photographer. Post-production is done through simple development software such as Adobe Lightroom.
Workshop Locations and Schedule
From arrival to the day of departure, we will chase the light of sunrises and sunsets in front of the most beautiful locations of Cornwall, including:
- Land’s End
- Godrevy Lighthouse
- Kynance Cove
- Bedruthan Steps
- Trevose Head
In terms of logistics, we will meet at Bristol Airport, in the UK, on the morning of the 25th of April. The meeting point for our adventure’s beginning (and end) is set at Bristol Airport at 11am of April the 25th. The last shooting day will be the 30th of April. We will have the last night in our exclusive accommodation and on the early morning of 1st May we will head back to Bristol where we expect to arrive around 11 am.
Accommodation and Practical Details
Our exclusive accommodation in the heart of Cornwall is included and in a single occupancy room with a private bathroom in a typical local house close to our shooting locations. This will let us not only be in the real heart of Cornwall for all our shooting activities but also enjoy our relaxing time and post-production surrounded by traditions and charm. Beverages and food (including breakfast, lunch and dinner) are not included. The reason for this is that we will be hunting for the best light conditions each day and will, therefore often rely on restaurants, bistros and cafés along the coast to optimize planning and timing.
Regarding physical requirements, no particular physical preparation is required. Just short walks (15 min max) are waiting for us. This Workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced photographers. It is suggested a good knowledge of the camera and the basics relating to the use of shutter speeds and apertures.
Suggested Equipment and Conditions
The following equipment is suggested for participants:
- Mirrorless or Digital SLR camera (or/and a professional Film camera if you wish!)
- Wide-angle lens
- Tripod
- Remote shutter
- Photographic filters
The Workshop is deliberately planned in a season with a significant meteorological instability to have a greater possibility of having interesting light conditions. In case of heavy rain, the course will be held in any case giving more emphasis to the post-production and class theory.
