Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

You will find recent work, wedding planning tips, and personal reflections from our life in this space.

Understanding Wedding Photography Costs

Planning a wedding comes with a lot of sticker shock moments, and photography is often a significant investment. If you’ve been wondering, "How much should I spend on my wedding photography?" or about the average cost of wedding photography, you’re not alone. The short answer is that most professional wedding photographers charge anywhere from $3,000 to $7,000. This wide range depends on things like coverage hours, number of photographers, experience level, and travel or location.

When you hire a professional, you're not just paying for someone to show up with a camera. You’re investing in a storytelling style that makes you feel the day all over again. This typically includes 8-12 hours of shooting plus 30–50 hours of editing, culling, backing up files, and delivering your gallery. Your perfect photographer should align with your unique vision and priorities.

Essential Tips for Couples and Photographers

Creating a photography portfolio that shows your creative vision is one of the first things to think about when starting a photography business. For couples, an Engagement Photoshoot Survival Guide can help the session be a fun and memorable part of the wedding planning. When it comes to the big day, it is important to know how to handle, prepare for, and survive family wedding photos to ensure you get great portraits.

Questions to Ask Your Photographer

Yes, price is important, but there are questions that matter more to find the perfect match for you:

  1. Do I like this person?
  2. Do I trust their eye?
  3. Do their photos make me feel something?
  4. Can they handle unpredictable light, such as 20-minute rainstorms?

Long after the cake is eaten and the flowers have wilted, your photos are what you’ll have to hold it all. Professional wedding photography is about telling your story in a way that feels real, vibrant, and completely you.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
