Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Creative Pre-wedding Photoshoot Ideas, Tips and Unique Concepts

The pre-wedding photoshoot is a great opportunity for brides and grooms-to-be to enjoy some fun planning and exercising some creativity. It is one of the first few fun adventures that you both embark on as an engaged couple. They’re not just photographs; they’re memories that’ll make you smirk, laugh, and maybe shed a tear or two when you flip through them decades later. It is never easy to plan for a unique pre-wedding photoshoot, and it sure takes you some effort to crack your heads for a special photoshoot theme to call your own. However, finding the common interests and hobbies creates the most memorable pre-wedding photoshoot theme that is solely yours to cherish.

Unique Photoshoot Themes and Concepts

1. Eternal Knot

For fun and bubbly couples, we suggest a journey through the dating times and common hobbies together. To personalize it, you can plan the photoshoot back to the place where they first met. For the photoshoot locations, plan the fun adventure amid the natural landscapes and the contrasting urban cityscape.

2. Maple Love Story

If you share a love for gaming, a theme like a "Maple Love Story" is one-of-its-kind. This involves styling the couple into game characters with DIY weapon props. The chapters of the pre-wedding photoshoot can begin with going to the movies, stepping into the theatre with popcorn and drinks, and letting the pictures come alive with the magical touch of digital effects.

3. Retro Fashion

The retro fever is perfect for sealing the remaining retro places before they disappear with the city’s fast developments. You can find the last remaining places with retro and old school memories, such as shophouses with rich colours which provide a distinctive charm.

Romantic Beach Photoshoot Ideas and Poses

A pre-wedding photoshoot near the beach is surreal, romantic and bizarre. Getting captured amid sunsets and sunrises with a dreamy-beach like background is totally worth it for life! To make your tasks easy, here are some curated creative photography poses for pre-wedding beach shoots:

  • Under the blue sky: This cupid-struck drone shot is especially curated for the vivacious millennial couples out there.
  • Amid the Romantic Sunset Backdrop: Sunsets are always romantic for duos who are romantic from the core. Having so many natural hues will make the picture look absolutely amazing.
  • Forehead Kiss: Kissing on the forehead is the purest form of love. This black and sunset panorama talks about nature photography with modern sensibilities.
  • Walk Hand in Hand: It is so real to walk hand in hand; you can never go wrong with this pre-wedding shoot pose.
  • Break the Stereotypes: Go down and propose to him and see how he smiles. Time to shun the stereotype while you pose for your beach pre-wedding shoot.

Professional Tips for a Successful Shoot

To ensure your session is the shiniest gem of your treasure chest, consider these essential tips:

  • Meet Before the Session: Communication is key! Have a sit-down with your photographer to share ideas and ensure they catch your love’s essence.
  • Choose the Right Location: Picking the perfect backdrop is crucial. A location that screams ‘this is us’ is what you need.
  • Make a Shot List: Plan, plan, and plan! Don’t miss any shots that you’ll regret later.
  • Suggest Activities Instead of Poses: Activities like a picnic setup or some dancing bring out the best genuine smiles.
  • Learn to Use Ambient Light: The golden hour—that magical time just after the sun winks hello or begins to tuck itself in—is the photographer’s dream.
  • Practice Facial Expressions: To achieve fun and wacky expressions, practice with your partner before the photoshoot and work out those muscles on your face for the perfect smiles.
