Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Real Bride Inspiration: Stories of Unique Wedding Visions and Photography

I LOVE being able to bring you some more real bride stories now weddings are up and running again! One of the biggest perks from working with brides, is hearing back from them about their wedding day, how much they loved their dress and seeing all the photos from their celebration. These stories explore topics like how they met their partner, what their bridal vision was, and more.

Jasmine: Making a Ready-Made Design Her Own

Today I’m featuring Jasmine and Luke. Image of Jasmine and Luke used with permission from Steel and Oak Photography. I’m in awe of how she manages her condition and shares her experience so openly and honestly, she’s a real advocate for people with disabilities. Jasmine’s condition means she’s unable to stand or walk independently, yet her optimism and real talk are endearing. She clearly has good taste! Jasmine loved the idea of wearing her vine around the back of her head, but having it long enough that it could be seen at the front. As the details in the original design were quite sparse, we decided to add in branches of freshwater pearls to give the vine the detail Jasmine wanted. Jasmine and Luke got married on a bright Autumn day in October, surrounded by their families and friends.

Madison: A Whimsical Princess Vision

Madison’s vision for her big day was a classy aesthetic with a timeless feel. Madison first came to The Bridal Collection in December of 2021, where master stylist Cathy helped her find a princess wedding dress. She initially didn’t want a strapless wedding dress, but something about the Sottero and Midgley Ryker gown kept calling her back. She loved the 3D floral details on the train and the overall whimsical vibe. She ended up customizing the wedding dress with romantic Juliet sleeves to complete the look! Captured by photographer Alex Bo Photo, the whole day was as dreamy as can be.

Dianne: Simple Elegance in the Netherlands

As for the dress, I picked my Ronald Joyce dress because of the simple and elegance look of it. I instantly loved it! In the beginning, I wanted a bodycon dress with pearls, little stones and glamour all over the place, but during fittings, I found that type of gown didn’t suit me very well. My photographers were Lianne Snoek and my second shooter was Annelene. We got married in our hometown, Urk in the Netherlands at "De Koningshof". The weather was luckily better than expected; it was 22 degrees and very sunny. Just perfect!

Bernadette: Traditional Luxury at Buxted Park

We wanted a classic, traditional wedding, with a timeless feel. We decided that the Buxted Park Hotel was the perfect venue for us and had all the quality that we were looking for. I chose the Chiara, style 69461, which I instantly feel in love with. The dress just sparkled from head to toe, which I adored. It made me feel luxurious. The lace detail which covers the entire dress brought an elegant regal feel to my dress. A big thank you to our photographer Kerry Ann Duffy for capturing the moment when we were taking our special photos.

Kathryn: A Summer Boho Celebration

The lovely Kathryn and William tied the knot right in the middle of July. She chose the gorgeous ‘Karma’ dress by Aire Barcelona, a lightweight boho design in stunning crepe fabric – a fabulous choice for a summer wedding! Who did the photography for your wedding day? ‘Gavin Hardy.’ It was a vintage, travel theme. We went to a church, then a marquee and barn in Kentish North Downs. Kathryn stated: "I knew straight away. It was as if I had designed it myself."

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
