Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall. I've been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine ever since I was a child.

I grew up in Cornwall but have enjoyed travelling the world as much as possible since my early 20s. Not only do I love photographing weddings in Cornwall, I've never been lucky enough to capture couples special days all over the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

An Atlanta Love Story: A Romantic Wedding Celebration

When Alexa moved to Atlanta in September 2021, she was pretty much over the whole dating app scene. She remembers liking one of DeMikael’s prompts on Hinge, but she was already pulling away from the app and actually stopped using it not long after. Then, during a quiet night in January 2022—while quarantining with COVID—she got a notification. It was a voice note from DeMikael, and something about it caught her off guard. It was warm, thoughtful, and felt real. That one message turned into hours of voice notes back and forth.

He asked if they could meet, and they did the very next day at a local coffee shop. From that moment on, something just clicked, and by the end of the month, they were official. After nearly two years of growing and building together, DeMikael popped the question with a surprise proposal in Piedmont Park, surrounded by all their favorite people.

Wedding Theme and Inspiration

We wanted our wedding to feel elevated but still intimate, full of character with a timeless romantic feel. We chose Summerour Studio as our wedding venue because we loved the rustic feel and the warmth it brought. The Tuscan-inspired courtyard with ivy-covered walls offered the perfect backdrop for our photos. We wanted to highlight the venue’s rustic beauty while creating a whimsical, enchanting setting filled with greenery, floating orbs, and a dramatic floral installation suspended above our estate table. To complement the natural elements without overpowering them, we chose a palette of dusty sage and ivory florals accented with soft, brushed gold details.

The Big Day Experience

Our wedding day was nothing short of magical. As the bride, I felt surrounded by love from the moment I stepped into the bridal suite. My nerves melted away thanks to the comfort of my closest friends and family. The second I locked eyes with my soon-to-be husband walking down the aisle, everything felt right—I had never been more certain of anything. As the groom, I was filled with joy and peace. Hanging with my guys before the ceremony set a fun, relaxed tone, but seeing my bride walk down the aisle was the moment I’ll never forget—she was truly breathtaking.

Celebrating our love surrounded by so many people who mean the world to us made the day unforgettable. Our first dance was to “Superstar” by Usher. It was one of the first songs DeMikael ever played for me to express how he felt, and it’s stuck with us ever since. The lyrics perfectly capture the deep love and adoration we have for each other.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
