Spring Wedding Photography in Cornwall: From Barns to Marquees
Cornwall is a stunning venue for a wedding. I moved to Cornwall for its immeasurable beauty and relaxed lifestyle, and Cornish weddings tend to reflect these very same qualities. Tucked away in the Cornish countryside, with views for miles and an awesome team that makes everything feel easy, it is a real fun time from start to finish.
Taylor & Emma’s Fun & Relaxed Wedding at Trevenna Barns
Taylor and Emma got married at Trevenna Barns down in Cornwall and it was an absolute belter of a day. Their theme was to try and stay authentic to themselves and include personal touches wherever they could. They wanted bright spring colours to match the beautiful colours that you can find all around Trevenna.
Getting married in April in Cornwall, they planned for the worst weather possible. However, when the big day arrived they were blessed with 20 degrees and were able to have the ceremony outside. The ceremony was perfect, with readings from both of their Mums, and their registrar Linda made everything light and joyful. Writing their own vows, while nerve wracking, really did feel like they were the only two people there in that moment. Before they were able to enjoy a glass of Pimms, they got covered in a crazy amount of confetti.
The highlights of the reception included:
- The Wedding Breakfast: The food was unreal as attested to by all of the guests.
- The Entrance: The entrance to the wedding breakfast was epic with the host unable to even announce them as guests went early with the napkin waving and wooing.
- The Speeches: The speeches had all of the guests crying and also howling with laughter.
- The Dance Floor: The band played banger after banger and the dance floor was always full.
- The Audio Guest Book: An amazing decision; the descent into chaos as the night progressed was hilarious to listen to.
Cody & Morgan’s Emotional Celebration in St Merryn
Cody and Morgan’s spring wedding in St Merryn, North Cornwall, was a day FULL to the brim with emotion; so many tears, so many smiles… truly a super joyful day. Planning a North Cornwall wedding is often unpredictable when it comes to the weather but they were blessed with glorious sunshine. Jess (maid of honour) and Nicky (mum) and the team did such an amazing job transforming St Merryn village hall.
For their couple time photos, they dropped in by the lighthouse at Trevose Head. Such a stunning back drop and such a stunning couple! After the photos, they headed to the bar at Higher Harlyn Campsite for the evening wedding reception where they danced the night away.
Tara & Simon’s Garden Wedding in St. Ervan
Tara & Simon got married in a beautiful marquee on the lawn of their own house in St. Ervan in North Cornwall. The day started in Tara’s own bedroom, getting her hair & makeup done by the Pop Up Salon, before stepping into her Jimmy Choos and beautiful Claire Pettibone gown. Although the morning looked a bit overcast and gray, after the ceremony at St. Ervan Parish Church the sun broke through and brought with it the most beautiful golden evening.
The simply stunning marquee by LPM Bohemia was beautifully decorated with flowers by Ginny’s Flowers. While music from Mountain Ash mingled with the excited chatter inside the marquee, the early spring sun stretched its beams over the beautiful countryside.
