Sometimes we don’t get what we want on our wedding day. Maybe you were in a rush to make it legal and then never got to celebrate. Or maybe you were young and in love, but didn’t have the budget for a wedding. Any time you can celebrate your love story you should. Your relationship has had time to mature and as a result your photos hold such deep meaning.
The 20-Year Anniversary in Gatlinburg
Chelsea and Jeremy have been married for 20 years and are best friends. They were pretty young when they met and in a way grew up together. So photographing 20 year anniversary pictures in the Smokies was super exciting for them! Chelsea wanted these photos to share with her family so that the celebration of their love could be remembered and cherished for generations.

And with that I always try to create opportunity for candid moments with raw emotions. Since both Chelsea and Jeremy were getting all dressed up for this photoshoot we decided to do a first look. This was such a beautiful moment for them as they have had so many years of memories together!
A Milestone Celebration at Foster Park
Happy 20 year wedding anniversary to these two lovebirds! Mark and Livia’s wedding photos weren’t great and so they wanted to go all out for some anniversary photos! And get this, they chose to take these photos ON their anniversary!! Livia did her research and learned that emerald green is the color for 20 years. So she went to work and found a gorgeous dress and put her own little bouquet together!
Mark donned the same suit and tie that he wore to their wedding and then PROPOSED with an anniversary ring in the SAME SPOT that he proposed the first time at Foster Park!! Livia was just so giggly the entire time and it was obvious that their love for each other just overflowed. Their 20 year wedding anniversary photos are definitely going down as some of my favorites to date!!
Celebrating a Decade in Detroit
Meet Chris and Hannah. You plan an absolutely amazing anniversary photo shoot to celebrate you two and your decade of marriage you’ve been rockin’ together! When Hannah first approached me about a session for their anniversary, she said she wanted to get a dress, hair done, make-up done, get amazing pictures and then a little trash the dress, too.
What really blew me away, besides how amazing they looked, was when they rolled up in Chris’ grandpa’s '87 Sunday Ride. They laughed, twirled, dipped, kissed and cuddled the evening away. After golden hour, we were driving to the beach and we came across the most beautiful ray of sun shining through the trees.
Planning Your Anniversary Shoot
If you didn’t get to have the wedding of your dreams, or even celebrate with an intimate elopement, then you deserve to go all out for your anniversary photoshoot! I love how Chelsea got an actual wedding dress for this shoot! She also hired Summerlynn Beauty for her hair and makeup. It was such a luxury experience for her to get all dolled up, really giving her that bridal feel!
