Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Transform Your Venue With Elegant Wedding Reception Decor and Photography

Your wedding reception is a symphony of love, laughter, and cherished memories, with each element harmonising to create an unforgettable experience. Discover attractive wedding reception decor ideas for your special day, from elegant centerpieces to enchanting lighting for your perfect celebration. Here are some key considerations to ensure your wedding reception is a visual masterpiece that reflects your unique style and sets the stage for lifelong memories.

Wedding Reception Decor Ideas To Transform Your Venue

Table Centerpieces are the focal point of each dining experience, capturing the essence of your theme and style. From elaborate floral arrangements to minimalist candles, the choice of centerpieces can transform your tables into works of art, evoking romance, sophistication, or whimsy. Lighting and Ambiance plays a crucial role in shaping your reception venue's ambiance, creating an enchanting and inviting atmosphere. Whether you opt for soft, romantic candlelight or dramatic uplighting, the right lighting can elevate the mood and highlight the beauty of your decor.

The wedding arch and aisle decor set the stage for one of the most memorable moments of your life: your walk down the aisle. Whether you exchange vows beneath a canopy of flowers or amidst a forest of twinkling lights, the arch and aisle decor create a magical backdrop for your love story. Additionally, escort card displays and seating arrangements guide your guests to their seats and offer an opportunity to infuse personality and creativity into your reception decor. From elegant escort card tables to whimsical seating charts, these elements add a touch of charm and organisation to your celebration.

Rustic and DIY Decoration Inspirations

Embrace the charm of the countryside and the simplicity of nature with rustic wedding ideas that exude warmth and authenticity. From weathered wood to wildflowers, each element captures the essence of rustic elegance. For example, you can infuse rustic charm into your reception with wood farm tables adorned with soft pink runners, creating a delicate yet elegant contrast that complements the natural beauty of the surroundings.

DIY wedding decor is a great option to consider to put more of a personal touch on your ceremony and reception. Consider these simple ideas:

  • Calligraphy Signs: Guests appreciate signs pointing them toward parking, bathrooms and anywhere you set up outdoor entertainment.
  • Reception Place Cards: Use your newfound calligraphy skills to turn blank business cards into seating guides.
  • Floral Centerpieces: Save money and get blooms that last forever by making your own silk arrangements.
  • Scented Candles: They add mood lighting in floor lanterns, centerpieces and even at your ceremony altar.

Essential Wedding Photo Ideas

Wedding photography is how we experience the wedding day after it’s over, so it makes sense that there’s a lot of pressure on getting great wedding photos. When it comes to your wedding day you’re going to want to hire a wedding photographer. Here is a short list of some must-have wedding photo ideas:

  1. Your Wedding Stationary: Including wedding invitation, which you could send to your wedding photographer in advance.
  2. The Rings: Capture the ring exchange as it happens and in other settings.
  3. Make Up Moment: Document as much of the getting ready process as possible, including the make-up touch-ups.
  4. The Wedding Shoes: Captures the shoes in a dynamic way, including the natural moment of them being put on.
  5. A Bridal Portrait: Once your hair and make-up are complete and you’re in your wedding dress, make beautiful portraits in a non-fussy way.
  6. The Veil: Shoot it close and shoot it far with movement and context.
  7. The Bridal Bouquet: Isolate the flowers and make a photo of the bouquet all by itself.

How to Come Up with Photo Ideas

Most photography advice for both brides and wedding photographers starts with determining values and making sure your values are your priorities. One of the first places to look for wedding photo ideas is at the people. Weddings are about love and family, filled with people at their happiest or most stressed. One great way to come up with ideas for wedding photos is to capture the personalities of all of the characters involved. Let the personalities of the couple and their guests inspire your ideas for their wedding photos as that will lead to photo ideas that are meaningful.

As a wedding photographer, always ask what they’re most looking forward to both photographically and from the wedding in general. Make a list of what’s important to the couple and then come up with individual photo ideas from that list. Whether they are excited about the food or can’t wait to see all of their friends, use that information to make sure you’re telling a story that is meaningful to your couple.

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
