St. Louis Wedding Photography: Capturing Timeless Moments at Iconic Venues
Some weddings are so absolutely gorgeous that I wish I could relive the day over and over again! St. Louis offers a variety of stunning locations for these celebrations, from historic parks to grand architectural landmarks. I absolutely LOVED Sam and Tina’s amazing wedding day, where everything was blooming at the Jewel Box, which made for the most amazing portraits after their wedding ceremony.
A Vibrant Celebration at the Jewel Box and Missouri History Museum
Sam and Tina's wedding was truly special because Tina incorporated some of her Vietnamese heritage into their ceremony. They used Vietnamese fabric during the hand-fasting part of their wedding ceremony at the Jewel Box. They were married last October, but the weather couldn’t have been nicer. We took wedding party photos around the Muny, and bride and groom portraits around the Grand Basin in Forest Park. Such a beautiful day!
The details of the day were breathtaking. Tina’s bouquet is seriously my favorite; I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE wildflowers and unique arrangements, and this bouquet (created by Wildflowers, a florist in St. Louis) had my heart. Their wedding day also had the most amazing details, including New Orleans accents in the reception details at the Missouri History Museum.
Grand Ceremonies at the Cathedral Basilica and St. Louis Temple
Other couples choose the city's iconic religious landmarks for their vows. Genevieve and Michael had the most gorgeous Lumen St. Louis Wedding. Their ceremony was set at one of St. Louis’ most amazing Catholic churches! The Cathedral Basilica is outstanding and is one of the oldest churches in St. Louis! Surrounded by so much love, these two shared vows and their first kiss as Husband and Wife before heading to Lumen Private Event Space for their stunning reception with floor to ceiling windows.
For a winter celebration, shooting a wedding at the LDS Temple in St. Louis, MO was a first for us. It was only a few days before Christmas and the weather couldn’t have been better! The beautiful sunset and soft winter light made for some unforgettable images. We then went straight to the gorgeous reception venue at Windows on Washington. I love a winter wedding, but the Mistletoe Booth was probably my favorite part of the reception!
The Philosophy of Professional Wedding Photography
The best wedding photos don’t follow a formula - they’re bursting with true colors, genuine joy, and unscripted moments. My goal as a photographer is to document your wedding day, exactly as it unfolds, in the most timeless fashion. I want you to reflect on this day in the years to come and still be in awe of your photos. When your photographer knows what they’re doing (and makes it fun!) you can simply relax, trust the process, and celebrate freely.
Every detail will get the spotlight it deserves because I’ll take the time to craft custom coverage options that align with your vision and event’s needs. I’m a team player who isn’t afraid to act as an extension of your other vendors - going above and beyond to prepare, collaborate, and support throughout the entire journey. See how I turn real moments into timeless images you’ll obsess over forever.
