Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Eight Sustainable Wedding Tips for your wedding in Cornwall (and still wow your wedding guests)

Here at Tredudwell Manor, we pride ourselves in being a blank canvas wedding venue in Cornwall which offers our couples the opportunity to style their wedding exactly as you choose, which is why we wanted to share this advice full of sustainable wedding tips and still how to wow your wedding guests. We are incredibly committed to sustainability here at Tredudwell. When planning a wedding in Cornwall, you’re faced with so many choices to make. To help you, we’ve tapped into our incredible network of Cornwall wedding suppliers to help you reduce your overwhelm, help you relax with your wedding planning AND wow your guests.

Sustainable Styling and Ceremony Advice

Sustainable Wedding Tip 1: Plan in advance, make it personal to you as a couple rather than going for the latest trends. Think about which items you can hire before buying new. Not only will this be better for the environment by creating less waste but it will save you worrying about selling-on or storing items after your wedding.

Sustainable Wedding Tip 2: We live in the most stunning part of England but sadly we have to adapt to our changing weather. Always aim for the best but be realistic. So be prepared for all weathers and consider how to style your wedding with a wow factor for all types of weather.

Sustainable Wedding Tip 3: Never forget the view!! Especially at Tredudwell Manor. No one wants a day with such grand displays that you or your guest can’t see what’s happening. Choose statement pieces rather then big over done fussy displays.

Styling Your Wedding Tables

You can save some budget and reduce your carbon footprint because you are hiring these gorgeous items instead of having to buy brand new. To add that extra special wow factor to a wedding table set up, consider these elements:

  • Coloured, textured runners: These add depth and contrast to your table settings. The fabric type helps create the style and finish you are looking to create, such as soft hand dyed bamboo silk, rich crushed velvets, or rustic soft cheesecloth.
  • Charger plates: These really lift the table and can be a great way to introduce light, metallics or a more rustic look to the setting.
  • Heights and colours: Different heights and colours within your table décor such as hiring beautiful, colourful glassware and candlelight really add a sense of occasion and help create a soft, relaxed dining experience.

Planning a Marquee Wedding in Cornwall

Marquee weddings offer the perfect blank canvas for putting your own stamp on things and are a wonderful chance to get creative – but planning a marquee wedding in Cornwall comes with its very own set of complexities. Below is a summary of seasonal considerations for your marquee:

Spring / Summer: The heat can become pretty oppressive on a July or August day. Opt for a tent where you can raise the sides – a stretch tent allows great ventilation, whilst most marquees have removable side panels which can allow you to open it right up. Make sure you open it up as soon as you can on the morning of the wedding to let the air in.

Autumn / Winter: You need to ensure you have adequate lighting and heating, blasting up the heaters early on in the day to avoid any condensation. Ensure there is plenty of matting pathways around to help your guests navigate to the toilets etc without getting stuck in the mud.

Wedding Dress Timelines and Expert Tips

In an ideal world around 12 months before the wedding is the perfect time to find your dress, because the majority of our dresses are made to order, this can take anywhere from 5 to 7 months for them to arrive with us. The more time you give yourself the more choices of dresses you’ll have, and you will save money on rush order fees.

Expert advice: Follow your gut, the right dress isn’t always going to make your cry; it’s the one that you feel the most confident and comfortable in and the one that you’re the most excited to wear!

Engagement and Couple Photographer Cornwall

As well as being a wedding photographer in Cornwall I am also a professional couple and engagement photoshoots. I love photographing love! In which I do love having photographed couples for the last 15 years in Cornwall and the rest of the world.

Whether you are a new couple or have been married for 50+ years, a professional couple is a wonderful gift. I have photographed couples of many stages of their relationship.

I always make sure the photoshoots are relaxed, unposed, and fun. Not many people enjoy having their photos taken, including me, which is why I make sure that you are both relaxed and happy during the shoot.

Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get used to the camera before your wedding and are offered as part of my wedding photography.
