Cornwall Wedding Photographer

Unposed, Natural, Relaxed Professional Photography

Hey! I'm Steven. I am a Cornwall Wedding Photographer. I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2004 and have captured hundreds of happy couples. Before I was a wedding photographer I was a professional music photographer working worldwide with big acts. My approach to wedding photography is simple: to create a whole story that documents your most important day in the most natural and beautiful way possible. Working on all that the pictures are captured for forever. I will always look to capture your special day naturally and organically, documenting the fun, laughter and happiness as and how it occurs. I cover set up, love, photographs of your big day directing you or your guests. I follow the narrative of the day and capture all of the magical moments.

Luxury Wedding Backdrop Ideas for Frame-Worthy Pictures

Wedding backdrops are an essential component in producing a riveting and mystical atmosphere, and they play a central role in the staging of weddings, where romance and love take centre stage. These mesmerising decorative wedding backdrop elements are the secret ingredients to crafting a captivating atmosphere that will leave your guests in awe. As photographs can be captured so easily, saved and shared with loved ones across technology, couples are always looking for some unique elements that help enhance their special celebration to serve those lasting memories! Let's talk wedding backdrops and ideas that can dress up your wedding ceremony, reception and other areas of your wedding day.

Popular Backdrop Styles and Themes

The Marble Luxury Vibe: When you hear or see marble, you instantly see and feel opulence. Hiring backdrops with a marble pattern, go really well behind the main wedding table (known as the Bridal Table), paired with flowers or gold candelabras can be a winner! It helps to set the tone and aesthetic of the whole day.

Florals for Days: Let's be honest, flowers and weddings are synonymous! A floral wall is an option for photo booth backdrops, wedding ceremony locations, again behind the wedding table or even your marriage ceremony. You can even go all-out with your wedding photo backdrop with a pink paper flower wall or a white flower wall to replicate a high-end look.

Lush Greenery Walls: Oh we love the lushness of greenery at a wedding! The pop of colour pairs so well with gold or even bright flowers, ideal for a summer wedding at your ceremony or wedding reception. This verdant sanctuary breathes life into your celebration, infusing it with an undeniable sense of calm and tranquilly.

Modern and Unique Backdrop Options

The beauty about weddings in the modern world is that there are no rules or boundaries as to how your wedding should look. Having a glossy black backdrop in your reception can set the tone for a contemporary and voguish wedding. For those who love the glitz and glam, be opulent with your wedding backdrop and consider having a fall of crystals for extra sparkle and bling. Nothing says "fun" more than a sparkly sequin wedding backdrop in rose gold tones for epic photo booth pictures.

Arches have also become so popular at weddings, bridal showers and events. You could have them behind your seating plan or wedding sign, a proposal or really anywhere! A copper wedding arch or a rustic wooden triangle arch styled with seasonal florals creates a charming wedding background. For a totally unique wedding reception backdrop idea, try out a selection of golden fans or a handmade macramé curtain to lean into the boho look.

Creative Lighting and Signage

Neon signs are one of our favorite wedding trends and would make a cute reception photo backdrop. You can also create a pretty wedding background using rustic string lights or a romantic quote-adorned wall backdrop. Whether you're hosting an intimate city wedding or a rustic country wedding, these elements provide a flourishing canvas for your creativity.

Comparison of Wedding Backdrop Types

Different textures and materials can make your wedding ceremony really stand out. Use the table below to explore various backdrop materials and their visual effects:

Backdrop Type Description and Visual Effect
Flower Backdrop Decorative arrangement made entirely of flowers; creates a visually stunning and vibrant atmosphere.
Green Backdrop Emerald embrace of nature featuring flora, plants, and vines for a calming effect.
Digital Backdrops Computer-generated images or designs used as virtual backgrounds for photography and videography.
Fabric Backdrop Physical materials like sumptuous velvet drapes that add texture, depth, and personality.
Printed Backdrop High-definition designs and vibrant colours that offer a visual feast for the eyes.

Practical Considerations for Your Big Day

When considering wedding photo backdrops, your first port of call should be to talk to your vendors about backdrop ideas to see if you can work together to bring your vision to life. If you're holding your ceremony and reception at the same venue, why not invest in a circular arch backdrop that can work for both? Whether you want to highlight your venue or create your own scenery, these versatile canvases transform photos into captivating masterpieces.

  • Highlight the Venue: If you have chosen a venue with breathtaking views, consider using that as your backdrop place.
  • Shelves are Everything: Adding shelving to a wedding provides endless styling options.
  • High or Low: A low floral installation is perfect to show off a striking location, while a higher chuppah or flower arch makes for striking wedding photos.
